NEW POLICY: AI Use When Completing Assignments with HS Brands

Your report must be written in your own voice, based on your own observations. AI-generated content submitted as your work is not acceptable — full stop.

We recognize that AI writing tools are widely used and can genuinely help with things like grammar, clarity, and organizing your notes. This communication sets out our approach: what's supported, what's not, and why it matters.

Our position: AI is permitted as a support tool. It is not a replacement for completing the shop, making your own observations, or reporting accurately. You are always accountable for everything you submit.

What We Require from All Shoppers

    All submitted details must reflect what you personally observed during the shop.

    Client names, locations, and project details must stay confidential — never enter them into AI tools.

    You are responsible for the accuracy of your report, regardless of any tools used.

    AI can shift your tone. Review any AI-assisted writing to make sure the report still sounds like you.

Why This Matters

High Risk — Data Privacy: Client names and instructions entered into AI tools can be exposed or retained. This is a breach of confidentiality.

Medium Risk — Report Quality: AI-generated content often lacks the specific, credible detail that clients rely on to make decisions.

Ongoing — Authenticity: Reports that read as polished but vague, or don't sound like the shopper, reduce client confidence and may reflect on your reputation. Your voice and your observations are what make your reports valuable.

Consequences for Misuse

Submitting fabricated, AI-generated, or inaccurate reports — or sharing confidential client data with AI tools — may result in your report being excluded, removal from assignments, or termination from our shopper database.

You will receive a $20 shopper pay for successful completion of this shop! **Please note - these shops are assigned for individual days. Shoppers may conduct a maximum of 2 shops per day. You may NOT complete 2 shops on the same day that are within 15 miles of each other. Shoppers are now required to upload a SELFIE taken in front of the property. The client NOT accept the report or pay you without the required selfie. These shops may be conducted anytime during their operating hours. Hours of operation may change, it is your responsibility to confirm hours of operation prior to visiting your location. **Please note -- these shops may NOT be conducted on holidays! **Please note - some locations may be branded under another name. You may confirm the specific name of the location by reviewing at the US Storage Centers Website at https://www.usstoragecenters.com/ You will visit the assigned location and inquire about renting space. You will need to be prepared with what you are looking to store only and seek advice on how to store it. You should be offered to rent a space that day. You must refuse, but include details on how many times they tried to close the sale. Include what incentives they offered in order to get you locked into the rate for that day. Also note how they tried to overcome your objections. If you are offered a tour of the location, you must take the tour or the shop will be considered incomplete and will be excluded without pay. You will be required to take a photo of the exterior and the business card and/or quote sheet that is offered to you – either is acceptable as a photo upload. You should have either a business card or a quote sheet before you leave. When taking a photo of the exterior, you may take a photo AFTER you leave the store, so not be suspicious. You must BE DISCREET and not be made as a shopper. You may NOT attend these shops with children or pets. You must review all guidelines and the shop report prior to visiting the location to ensure that you are fully prepared to make all required observations. All shop reports are due within 12 hours of visiting the location or by MIDNIGHT on the due date, whichever occurs first. Looking forward to working with you!
