NEW POLICY: AI Use When Completing Assignments with HS Brands
Your report must be written in your own voice, based on your own observations. AI-generated content submitted as your work is not acceptable — full stop.
We recognize that AI writing tools are widely used and can genuinely help with things like grammar, clarity, and organizing your notes. This communication sets out our approach: what's supported, what's not, and why it matters. Our position: AI is permitted as a support tool. It is not a replacement for completing the shop, making your own observations, or reporting accurately. You are always accountable for everything you submit. Fixing grammar and spelling
Improving clarity or flow
Reorganizing your own notes
Rewording content you've already written
Generating reports without doing the shop
Fabricating or guessing details
Entering client names or instructions into AI tools
Submitting AI-generated content as your own observations
Generating, editing, or altering photos or images using AI tools
All submitted details must reflect what you personally observed during the shop.
Client names, locations, and project details must stay confidential — never enter them into AI tools.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your report, regardless of any tools used.
AI can shift your tone. Review any AI-assisted writing to make sure the report still sounds like you.
High Risk — Data Privacy: Client names and instructions entered into AI tools can be exposed or retained. This is a breach of confidentiality. Medium Risk — Report Quality: AI-generated content often lacks the specific, credible detail that clients rely on to make decisions. Ongoing — Authenticity: Reports that read as polished but vague, or don't sound like the shopper, reduce client confidence and may reflect on your reputation. Your voice and your observations are what make your reports valuable. Submitting fabricated, AI-generated, or inaccurate reports — or sharing confidential client data with AI tools — may result in your report being excluded, removal from assignments, or termination from our shopper database. All payments will be made between 35–45 days from the date the shop is successfully finalized. Please make sure the PayPal option is selected in the Payment Information section of your profile to ensure prompt payment. Let's get social! Before you go to the store, you need to do research on the AP website and select a watch that stands out and go with the references of the watch (model/color) to the store, to do the sales conversation. At the store, you will need to pay attention to the welcoming, sales conversation, ambiance, cleanliness, and farewell with the sales associate (SA). This is an informative shop and no purchase need to be made.
Proof of visit required:
• Picture of store front of the store.
• Business card of the SA or if the SA do not have a business card anymore, ask the SA to write down the reference on a piece of paper.
Shopper Notes:
***VERY IMPORTANT***
Stores will look back at their camera footage if they don’t agree on certain points or there is discrepancy on what the shopper says and what the SA says. Your reports MUST be accurate!
Shoppers need to dress appropriately. They are NOT to wear a watch unless it is a luxury brand.
Shoppers need to familiarize themselves with the brand before they perform the shop.
Shoppers must do research on the website. They must pick a watch model & color.
Watch MUST BE for yourself–NOT a gift. If you say it is for a gift, the shop is Excluded automatically.
If the location is CLOSED when the shopper goes, they must take a picture of the location and if there is a note on the door, a picture of that. Shop can be invoiced for half and shopper paid half.
• The shopper NEEDS to give a watch reference, as the SA need to have the opportunity to help the shopper with their reference.
• The shopper does research before going to the store, but when they find out during the shop that their preference collection is not available, the shopper needs to be open to accept the other collection when offered and try on from other collection, otherwise the SA don’t have the opportunity to tick off many of the points in the questionnaire.
Basically, when a watch is offered to be try on, the shopper NEEDS to accept it and try on the watch, otherwise the sales conversation stops, and the SA doesn’t have the opportunity to help on that. The shopper needs to follow the flow of the report. If the shopper declines a drink, they need to add in the open comment why they declined and if they declined to be in the system, they need to add in the open comment why. Other than those 2 points the shopper can’t decline but need to go with the sales flow.
Thank you and I look forward to working with you, HeatherF HeatherF@HSBrands.com
